Touhou Eiyashou: Imperishable Night is a bullet-hell shooter where you pick from eight characters—four preset duos or unlockable solo modes. Duos let you swap between two distinct shot patterns by toggling focus, which also slows movement. Solo characters mostly keep one shot type regardless of focus state. The hook: a Time Orb system that affects story progression and scoring, plus a gauge tracking whether you lean human or youkai (unfocused or focused) to collect more orbs. Bosses drop Last Spells—optional bonus patterns you tackle without bombs or death risk. You get Last Spells too: emergency super-bombs costing two stocks, usable only within a fraction of a second after taking a hit. The plot involves teams racing through a frozen night to confront Kaguya, a moon princess hiding on Earth, and survive her five impossible challenge patterns. Dense mechanics for series veterans.
