Uprising is a 1997 hybrid that splits your attention between direct tank combat and base-building strategy. You pilot a heavily armed assault tank while simultaneously managing resource extraction, factory construction, and unit production. The core loop: establish forward bases, mine energy to fuel your war machine, construct manufacturing facilities, then command squadrons of allied units you've built. You're hands-on with the tank's weapons during firefights but also issuing orders to your forces across the battlefield. It's not a pure RTS—you're physically present in your command vehicle—and it's not a straightforward shooter since ignoring base expansion means you'll get overwhelmed. The multitasking demands are real: you're welding together resource management, construction priorities, and real-time combat reflexes.
