Yoshi's Story is a 2D platformer where you guide baby Yoshis through storybook pages to reclaim a stolen tree. Baby Bowser's cursed the island into a pop-up book, and six newborn Yoshis escaped because they were still in their eggs. You pick one per stage, eating fruit to fill a happiness meter that ends the level when full. Each Yoshi has a favorite fruit worth more points. Stages scroll both ways, hiding alternate routes and collectibles. Ground-pounding, flutter-jumping, and tongue-grabbing return from prior games. The visual style mimics felt, yarn, and cardboard cutouts. Four difficulty paths let you skip tougher worlds or chase secrets. It's lighter than the earlier games—no item-carrying, shorter stages—but the fruit-hunting structure rewards exploration if you want it.
