Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Secret of the Silver Blades
Turn-based dungeon crawler where your party investigates a mine overrun by monsters thawed from a 375-year-old magical glacier. Miners drilling near the Dragonspire Mountains broke an ancient seal, releasing creatures frozen alongside a lich and his brother's spirit. You'll explore mines, the ruined town of Verdigris, and eventually the castle where this curse originated. Combat uses AD&D rules—position your fighters up front, keep casters back, manage spell slots between rests. Characters carry over from Curse of the Azure Bonds or start fresh. The game adds higher-level spells and enemy types compared to earlier Gold Box titles. Expect grid-based 3-D exploration with random encounters and turn-based tactical fights. If you're comfortable with 1991 interface conventions and don't need quest markers, it's a solid RPG with a mystery-driven structure.
