Baba Is You

Baba Is You is a puzzle game built on manipulating the rules themselves. Each level contains physical word blocks that define how things work—push them around to rewrite reality. Shove "Baba" away from "Is" and "You" to stop controlling your character. Connect "Rock" with "Is" and "Win" to make rocks the goal instead of flags. Turn walls into pushable objects, make grass lethal, or reassign what counts as victory mid-level. Solutions demand you break your assumptions about what's fixed versus changeable. Levels start simple but quickly require chaining multiple rule edits to create outcomes the designer never explicitly coded. It's spatial logic meets linguistic trickery, rewarding players who think in systems rather than patterns.
