About
Battle Chess is a digital chess game where pieces fight animated battles when captures occur. Each piece matchup—knight taking rook, queen taking pawn—has its own attack animation, so part of the appeal is seeing all the combinations play out. The board follows standard chess rules: 64 squares, traditional piece movement, checkmate wins. The AI opponent exists but wasn't known for strong play even at release. You're essentially playing regulation chess with a visual layer on top. If you want to learn openings or face a tough computer challenge, this won't deliver that. It's for players who enjoy the spectacle of watching a rook get smashed by a knight more than they care about deep strategic resistance.
