About

Card Hunter is a turn-based tactics RPG where your abilities come from cards instead of skill trees. You build decks for a party of adventurers, then play those cards on grid-based battlefields to move, attack, and cast spells. Combat plays out like a tabletop game session—complete with a fictional Game Master named Gary who narrates scenarios and makes bad jokes between fights. Your character progression revolves around collecting better equipment cards from loot drops and shops. Each piece of gear adds specific cards to your deck, so a new sword might give you three attack cards while boots add movement options. The grid tactics require positioning and line-of-sight awareness. Matches blend the card-draw variance of a CCG with the spatial puzzles of tactical combat. It's designed for players who like optimizing decks and don't mind some RNG in their strategy games.
