

First-person shooter set in Columbia, a city floating above America in 1912. You play Booker DeWitt, sent to extract a woman named Elizabeth who's been held captive since birth. The campaign alternates between tight indoor firefights and open-air battles against groups of up to fifteen enemies at once. You'll switch tactics depending on the space—close-quarters brawls in confined areas, long-range engagements when the environment opens up. Elizabeth accompanies you through most of the story, and the pair uncover Columbia's secrets while attempting escape. Shares the BioShock name and some mechanical DNA with earlier entries, but this isn't a sequel. Different city, different era, standalone plot. Expect weapon variety and encounter design that pushes you to adapt your approach room by room.
