Bubble Bobble

Arcade platformer where you control Bub or Bob, dragons who blow bubbles to trap enemies across single-screen stages. Jump between platforms, encase foes in bubbles, then pop them with your spiny back to clear each level. Popping multiple trapped enemies at once spawns food worth escalating points—burst three together and you'll get items worth 1000, 2000, and 4000. Bubbles float before bursting, doubling as temporary platforms to reach higher areas. The last enemy on a stage turns pink and speeds up. Take too long and an invincible pursuer appears, forcing you to finish quickly. Touching enemies or their projectiles kills you instantly. Two-player co-op lets a second person join as the other dragon.
