Cabal is an arcade shooter where you control a soldier fixed to the bottom of the screen, facing waves of enemies across destructible environments. Your targeting reticle controls both aiming and lateral movement—shifting it left moves you left, creating constant tension between lining up shots and avoiding incoming fire. Enemies launch bullets and grenades from fortified positions, and you'll need to destroy cover to expose targets while staying mobile enough to dodge. The PC version lacks the arcade original's roll dodge, making positioning more critical. Success depends on reading enemy patterns and managing the dual-purpose reticle without overcommitting to either offense or evasion. Short, intense stages reward quick reflexes over careful planning.
