A side-scrolling platformer where Donkey Kong and up to three companions fight to reclaim their island from invading Vikings. You'll ground-pound, blast through barrels, and ride mine carts across five distinct islands with underwater sections and frozen terrain. Four playable characters are available: Diddy Kong returns with his jetpack hover, Dixie Kong uses her hair to glide, and Cranky Kong—making his series debut as playable—bounces on a pogo cane. Each partner changes how you navigate levels, opening different routes and strategies. Stages mix classic Donkey Kong Country precision jumping with environmental hazards like crumbling ice and strong currents. The difficulty leans toward players comfortable with tight timing and pattern memorization rather than casual runs.
