Fallout 76 is a multiplayer shooter-RPG set in post-nuclear West Virginia, 25 years after the bombs dropped. You're a Vault Dweller stepping out on Reclamation Day, 2102, into a wasteland with no human NPCs at launch—just other players, creatures, and environmental storytelling. The loop: scavenge materials, build C.A.M.P. settlements anywhere on the map, complete quests via holotapes and terminals, then fight irradiated monsters or other survivors for resources. You can team up or go solo. Dynamic events pop up across the map, from scorchbeast attacks to supply drops. The Appalachian setting includes forests, toxic valleys, and the Cranberry Bog. Survival systems include hunger, thirst, and radiation management. It's Fallout's formula adapted for always-online play, so expect other players wandering the same ruins.
