

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest
A tactical RPG where you command units across grid-based battlefields, making permanent life-or-death calls each turn. This is the harder of two launch campaigns, designed for series veterans. You can't replay story maps to grind levels, mission objectives demand more than routing enemies, and gold and experience come scarce. Expect to lose units if you misposition or miscalculate. The story follows one faction in a dynastic conflict—your choice of allegiance splits the narrative into separate paths sold as standalone releases. You'll need to clear the shared opening chapter before accessing alternate routes or the third DLC campaign. Combat revolves around weapon triangles, terrain bonuses, and pairing units for stat boosts. If you want challenge over flexibility, this is the intended path.
