Kirby Air Ride

Racing game where Kirby rides hovering vehicles called Air Ride Machines across three distinct modes. Air Ride offers standard circuit races, Top Ride switches to a top-down perspective, and City Trial drops you into a timed free-roam arena where you grab power-ups before a final event. Controls are stripped down—no acceleration button, just steering and two context-sensitive actions. Supports up to four players locally, with an unusual LAN option letting you link multiple GameCube consoles. You pick from different colored Kirbys rather than unique characters. Each mode has its own unlock progression tied to completing specific challenges. The simplicity makes it easy to pick up but tough to master at higher speeds.
