Mega Man

Mega Man is a side-scrolling action platformer where you play as a robot fighting to stop Dr. Wily's army of six Robot Masters. You pick which boss to tackle first, and beating one earns you their weapon—Fire Storm, Ice Slasher, Thunder Beam, and so on. Each weapon counters a different boss, so the order you choose matters. Levels mix platforming with enemy patterns you'll need to memorize. Expect instant-death pits, disappearing blocks, and tight jumps. The 8-bit art and chiptune soundtrack defined NES-era design.
