Grid-based RPG where you control Lan and his digital partner Mega Man.exe, battling viruses across the Internet using collectible battle chips. This entry centers on a tournament structure—you face opponents in sequential matches rather than exploring at your own pace. The Soul Unison mechanic lets Mega Man temporarily transform into bosses you've beaten, adopting their abilities for combat. Blue Moon is one of two versions (the other being Red Sun), each containing unique enemies, chips, and transformations you can't get in the alternate release. Battles play out on a 3x6 grid where positioning and chip combos determine success. If you liked the series' real-time card-battle hybrid but want a more focused gauntlet format, this shifts away from open exploration toward structured fights.
