Mega Man X5

Side-scrolling action platformer where you pick between blaster-wielding Mega Man or sword-slashing Zero to stop a sabotaged asteroid colony from hitting Earth. Each character plays differently—Mega Man relies on ranged shots and bombs, while Zero gets in close with a plasma sword. You'll run and gun through eight stages, each ending with a boss fight. Beat a boss and you absorb their weapon or ability for your own arsenal. Stage order is your call, and the powers you gain can open shortcuts or counter specific enemies later. It's the classic X formula: tight controls, pattern-based bosses, and deciding which stage to tackle based on what you've already unlocked.
