Side-scrolling action platformer set three weeks after a near-catastrophic space colony collision. You control Mega Man X through multi-stage levels, fighting enemy reploids and rescuing friendly ones trapped in the aftermath. The Nightmare System alters level layouts, enemy placements, and story outcomes depending on your actions and performance—routes shift, bosses change positions, and certain endings lock or unlock based on which reploids you save. Standard X-series combat applies: dash, wall-jump, charge shots, and boss weapons acquired after defeating stage guardians. Zero is absent for story reasons, making this primarily an X solo campaign. Expect tough difficulty spikes and some obtuse rescue conditions. Suits players who want replayability through procedural tweaks rather than fixed level design.
