Nuclear Throne is a top-down action roguelike where you pick one of 12 mutant creatures and fight through procedurally generated wastelands toward a mysterious superweapon. Each run, you collect radioactive waste to unlock mutations mid-battle—extra arms, better reflexes, tougher skin—that stack as you progress. Guns are everywhere and disposable: laser rifles, grenade launchers, energy weapons you swap constantly as ammo runs dry. Death is permanent, sending you back to the start with only knowledge of enemy patterns and level layouts. The game moves fast—dodge, shoot, mutate, repeat—across desert ruins, frozen cities, and stranger dimensions. An interdimensional police force tries to stop you, though their role stays cryptic. Runs last 20-30 minutes if you survive. Suits players who want reflex-heavy combat with build variety but no mercy.
