Project Winter is an 8-player social deception game built around survival mechanics. You're dropped into a hostile environment where the stated goal is simple: gather resources, repair an escape method, and get out alive. The catch? Two players are secretly traitors working to sabotage the group. Survivors must coordinate on tasks like collecting wood, repairing objectives, and fending off wildlife while figuring out who's undermining them. Traitors blend in, complete fake tasks, and strike when the group splits up. Communication happens through proximity voice chat, so accusations fly and alliances shift as supplies dwindle. It's about reading behavior under pressure—who's helping, who's stalling, and whether that person offering you supplies is setting up your murder. Works best if you enjoy tension that comes from distrust rather than jumpscares.
