Star Fox

Star Fox is a rail shooter where you pilot the Arwing fighter through the Lylat system's planets and space stations, blasting enemy forces. You're Fox McCloud leading a four-member mercenary crew—each an anthropomorphic animal—hired to stop the exiled scientist Andross from conquering your home planet Corneria. Levels scroll forward automatically while you dodge obstacles, lock onto targets, and manage shield damage. The route you pick between missions changes which locations you'll visit, from asteroid fields to enemy bases. Your teammates chime in with warnings and banter over comms. It's an on-rails space combat game with branching paths and a Saturday-morning-cartoon cast.
