Third-person action-adventure reboot that shows Lara Croft's first expedition gone wrong. You're shipwrecked on an island east of Japan, separated from your crew, and hunted by a violent cult called the Solarii Brotherhood. Combat mixes stealth takedowns, bow-and-gun firefights, and environmental kills against human enemies and supernatural samurai warriors. Traversal involves climbing, zip-lining, and using tools like climbing axes to reach new areas. The island holds ruins tied to Himiko, an ancient Sun Queen whose trapped soul drives the plot—your friend Sam gets kidnapped as a ritual vessel, and you're racing to stop a body-transfer ceremony before it completes. Survival mechanics are light (hunting for XP, scavenging gear upgrades) but the focus is combat encounters and scripted set-pieces. Tone's grounded and brutal compared to earlier Tomb Raider games. Works if you want a linear action game with third-person shooting and light puzzle-solving.
