

Open-world RPG set in post-nuclear Boston, where you emerge from cryogenic sleep 210 years after the bombs fell to find your son kidnapped. You'll scavenge ruins for gear, build settlements from scrap, and navigate conflicts between Commonwealth factions—each with competing visions for rebuilding society. Combat mixes real-time gunplay with a pause-and-target system called V.A.T.S. The crafting extends beyond weapons to entire communities: assign settlers jobs, wire up defenses, construct buildings. Main quest branches based on faction allegiance, but you're free to ignore it and explore radiated Boston instead. Dialogue choices shape relationships and quest outcomes.
