About
Tactical RPG split into two books. Book One remakes the original Fire Emblem, while Book Two continues that story with the same cast. You move units across grid-based maps, positioning characters to exploit weapon-type advantages and terrain bonuses. Permadeath means lost units stay dead. The two-book structure lets you play through the foundation, then see what happens next without switching cartridges. Released exclusively in Japan for Super Famicom, it was the series' console debut after two Famicom entries. If you want the origin of Fire Emblem's grid tactics and permadeath stakes in one package, this is where Nintendo put both halves together.
