Turn-based tactics RPG picking up three years after its GameCube predecessor. You command units across grid-based battles in a continent recovering from war—Daein's under occupation by the Begnion Empire, while neighboring Crimea rebuilds under Queen Elincia. The campaign adds new magic types, expanded class upgrade paths, and a revised weapon forging system that lets you customize gear stats. Battles use the same core movement-and-attack structure as before with updated visuals. If you've got a Path of Radiance save (normal or hard difficulty only—easy mode saves trigger a freeze bug), you can import limited data. Story shifts perspectives between Daein's resistance fighters and other factions as political tensions escalate. Expect permadeath for fallen units unless you're playing casual mode.
