

Turn-based tactical RPG where you command units on grid-based battlefields to defend Renais from Grado Empire forces. You'll select characters before each mission, position them strategically, then execute attacks based on weapon types and terrain advantages. Units earn experience through combat, unlocking class promotions that boost stats and open new abilities. Between story missions, you can tackle the Tower of Valni—a separate mode where monsters replace human enemies, letting you grind levels for underused characters. Permadeath means losing a unit in battle removes them permanently from your roster. Success hinges on managing weapon durability, exploiting the rock-paper-scissors combat system (swords beat axes, axes beat lances, lances beat swords), and keeping fragile mages alive while your armored knights absorb damage.
