Fire Emblem Gaiden

When Rigel invades, childhood friends Arum and Cellica each lead forces to end the conflict. You alternate between their campaigns over five chapters, with a world map that opens up as you progress. Battles play out on grid-based maps where positioning and unit types matter. The dual-protagonist structure means you're managing two rosters and storylines that eventually converge. If you want strategy with a religious war backdrop and don't mind older design conventions, this delivers that.
