About

First-person shooter where you play as Sergeant Cortez, a 25th-century marine chasing hostile forces backward through time. The campaign sends you through different eras—each with period-appropriate weapons and enemies—as you hunt the source of the TimeSplitter threat. You'll revisit earlier missions from new angles because past-you and present-you occupy the same timeline, creating firefights where multiple versions of Cortez fight alongside each other. Levels mix gunplay with light puzzle-solving around these time loops. The series is known for split-screen multiplayer with dozens of playable characters and arcade-style modes, though the campaign's time-hopping structure is the main draw here. If you want a shooter that doesn't take itself seriously and leans into sci-fi absurdity, this delivers that without pretense.
