What Remains of Edith Finch
A narrative exploration game where you play through the final moments of a Washington State family's deceased members. You control Edith Finch as she returns to her family's estate and uncovers how each relative died, spanning the early 1900s to present day. Each death plays out as a self-contained vignette with its own mechanics and perspective—one might be a comic book fantasy, another a mundane bathroom trip. All share first-person viewpoints and fatal endings. The structure is room-by-room discovery: enter a sealed bedroom, find objects that trigger playable memories, experience that person's last day. Tone shifts wildly between vignettes. No combat or puzzles in the traditional sense. It's about piecing together why Edith is the sole survivor of a family that believes itself cursed. Takes roughly two hours to finish.
