Asteroids

Arcade shooter where you pilot a triangular ship through an asteroid field, rotating and firing to break rocks into smaller pieces before they hit you. Your ship drifts with momentum-based physics—thrust sends you gliding until you apply more thrust or rotate to change direction. Flying saucers appear periodically, firing back as they cross the screen. When cornered, you can trigger hyperspace to teleport randomly, but you might reappear inside a rock or explode on arrival. Each destroyed asteroid splits into fragments that move faster, filling the screen with more targets. Clearing all debris advances you to a denser wave. Simple controls, but mastering the physics takes practice.
